TREATMENTS AND PROCEDURES

Some pets often need more than just routine vet care. Our staff and surgeons will help form a specialized plan to meet your pets needs. Our main goal is to make sure they enjoy a long and healthy life.

Radiology
Radiology is used to diagnose many conditions in dogs and cats. We have a complete digital radiology system available in house. This helps give a faster and more accurate diagnosis while providing the highest quality of care for your pet.

Dentistry
Does your dog have smelly breath??? Poor dental health can lead to other serious health problems for your pet.
We offer dental services for cats and dogs including ultrasonic cleanings, tooth polishing, and extractions as needed.

Ophthalmology-Eye Care
As pets age they can start to experience problems with their eyesight. We offer many different treatments to help keep your pet’s eyes healthy.
Tonometry: Identify fluid pressure within the eye to determine if your pet is at risk for glaucoma.
Ocular fluorescein staining: This procedure helps locate scratches in your pet’s eye.
Schirmer eye tear testing: This procedure helps determine the amount of tear production within the eye.

Laser Therapy
Laser therapy is often used for wound care, arthritic conditions, skin problems, and slipped disk. This therapy stimulates cellular activity to promote healing.
We offer laser packages for most cases require multiple treatments.

Cancer Treatment
If your dog has recently been diagnosed with cancer, our team or surgeons are experienced in removing many types of tumors.
Surgical removal is a common treatment for pets with cancer. This is followed by biopsy and margin analysis. Chemotherapy can also be utilized for non-surgical masses.
Putting your pets quality of life first is most important. Setting up an initial exam is the first step to making a diagnosis and custom plan of treatment.

We love Valdosta Animal Hospital. The staff is always friendly to our pup. Just as soon as he notices we are pulling up to the location, he gets excited. Dr. Kyle takes great care when he does exams and is always willing to answer my questions. We have been to other animal hospital/clinics and this one is by far the best in town!!

I want to send some love, well-earned recognition, and appreciation to Dr. Harrell & the incredible staff of Valdosta Animal Hospital. They have always taken amazing care of all of our furry family members, but the care they gave our Penny over her last few years has been exceptional. Penny had multiple chronic illnesses, and required a lot, but she was always excited to walk through the clinic doors and I feel like she considered VAH staff her extended family, a great testament to the level of care and comfort they provide. ❤️🐾❤️

I take my Bonnie here and love this place. Such good personalized care for her. I’m sitting my Grand-Pup from Atlanta for a couple weeks & VAH was kind enough to let me bring Ember to get her teeth cleaned & nails done. They’re the BEST!!!
